Minutes

- Call meeting to order at 12.:02 p.m.

- Roll call/quorum – Daniel Adams, present – Daniel Reischel, present – Wayne Bowe, present

- Verification of public notice by town board – notice was published in the Chippewa Herald and posted at Town Hall, Recycling center, Baier’s Bar, and Bresina’s Bar.

 

  1. Discussion of CSMs requests by John Mickesh for Gale R Sorum & Laverne Schreiner
    1. Motion made by Daniel Adams to accept the CSM for Gale R. Sorum, seconded by Daniel Reischel.  A voice vote was taken only ayes where heard.
    2. Motion made by Daniel Adams to accept the CSM for Laverne Schreiner, seconded by Wayne Bowe.  A voice vote was taken only ayes where heard.
  2. Julie Geissler’s withdrawal from the Preservation Committee
    1. Julie Geissler is removed from the Preservation Committee per Julie Geissler’s request.
  3. Utility permit request from Xcel Energy for work along 102nd Avenue
    1. The town board feels that they need more information before granting the utility permit.  Board will request more information.
  4. Paving of 102nd Avenue
    1. Town Board had an extensive discussion about paving 102nd Avenue.
    2. A motion was made by Daniel Adams to place an ad in the Chippewa Herald newspaper that reads:

 

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Tilden will accept bids for asphalt paving, shouldering, and road painting of 102nd Avenue starting at Highway Q, running east to the Tilden Mill Pond bridge, an approximate length of 4400 feet.  Town of Tilden, Chippewa County.

 

Bids shall include the cost for paving. The blacktop paved with 58-34 warm mix asphalt (12.5 mm) to an average compacted thickness of 2.5 inches and a width of 21 feet.  All mailboxes and driveways shall be winged out with asphalt as necessary – paved driveways to be sawn or milled.  Road shoulders shall be 2-foot-wide using .75 inch graded dense base gravel – compacted and swept.  Road work shall include painting of the center lines and shoulder lines on the road.  Quote price per ton, tonnage, and total cost.  Contractors must comply with all State and Federal Air and Water Quality Standards.  All contractors are responsible for traffic control during their project. 

 

Questions call Daniel Adams 715-577-9568.  Send all bids to Town of Tilden-Paving Bid, 12193 120th Avenue, Chippewa Falls, WI. 54729.  All bids must be received by the evening of July 12, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., the beginning of the regular town board meeting.  Bids will be opened at that time.

 

The town board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and accept the bids most advantageous to the town.  Completion date of project shall be negotiated at time of contract awards.

 

THIS PROJECT IS A LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (LRIP) ALLOCATION PROJECT.

Wayne Bowe seconded the motion.  A voice vote was taken and it was passed with only ayes being heard.

 

  1. - Adjournment - Wayne Bowe made a motion to adjourn the meeting – Daniel Reiscel seconded it.  Passed on a voice vote.  Meeting adjourned at 1:25 p.m.
